I am not a huge fan of VNs myself anymore, however, I can tolerate them, especially because the illustrations are pretty. The presentation, however, can turn some people off, as yet another budget cutting strategy, they made almost all story portions of both Soul Chronicle and Libra of Soul visual-novel like. The story modes are pretty cool, and I'd say, in terms of lore, VI has the best story of all games, especially for those who are new to the series, which makes sense since the story is a retelling of earlier games. The game definitely looks cheap and made on a budget, unlike Tekken 7 et al characters look fake and plastic, the scenario looks like modified UE assets that look so obvious they distract you, and the portraits in the Soul Chronicle mode look very uncanny. A good game with some flaws that at times I don't believe are the developer's fault, but rather Bamco's fault for not having much faith in the series after V.
